She completed her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, B.C. , WWW.ACOS.COM where she earned the citizenship award for her involvement with student council, facilities, and her dedication and generosity to others. Marlene is a graduate of the 4 year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Program (2004).
Marlene has assisted many expecting mothers with prenatal acupuncture and acupressure. Marlene is also trained in Shiatsu, Reflexology, and other Energetic Therapies, and has been practising Qi Gong for many years. Marlene incorporates elements of all these into her treatments.
Her focus includes treatment of back pain, arthritis and anxiety related disorders such as headaches, digestive disorders, insomnia, and gynecological disorders, fertility treatments, prenatal acupuncture, acupressure, and herbs supplements.
Marlene's patient-centered approach comes from her philosophy that a practitioner is a guide to facilitate the healing that comes from within the patient.
